About me
Hello, welcome to my webpage!
I’m Sevde, a results-oriented quantitative researcher and data analyst with over a decade of experience specializing in political economy and international development. My journey has taken me across the globe—from Turkey to South Korea, to the United States—where I’ve worked in diverse, multicultural environments, bridging academia and international organizations.
Currently, I am Korea in Global Affairs postdoctoral fellow at the American University’s School of International Service in Washington, DC. My work explores the impact of US industrial policy on Korea’s global companies. By applying advanced empirical methods, I analyze how these companies navigate and respond to supply chain diversification strategies, offering insights that are increasingly relevant in today’s interconnected global economy.
My research interests lie at the intersections of geoeconomics, international trade, and (green) industrial policy. I earned my PhD in International Studies from Seoul National University. And I previously worked as a lecturer at Sookmyung Women’s University, where I taught a graduate-level course on quantitative research methods.
I invite you to explore my work, connect with me for collaborations, or simply follow my latest professional developments.
